Robi Skincare Review

Skincare can be such an overwhelming experience for some, when trying to find the right routine that will work, for your skin concerns. My advice {I’m not a professional} would be to visit a dermatologist/skincare aesthetician to recommend products that are best suited for your skin type. My normal/combo skin type routine usually consists of indie beauty and luxury retail beauty products. I have to mention my skin is pretty clear, with the odd blemish here and there and a bit of pigmentation, most likely from pregnancy. I tend to sway towards the moderate beauty approach. I prefer to use everything in moderation – it’s not a bad thing. If you do prefer to use skincare with less complicated ingredients, and are not worried about major skin concerns, keep scrolling down to read about local Canadian brand – Robi Luxury.

I had previously experienced and reviewed Robi luxury skincare { you can read previous blog here } last year, and was excited to have the opportunity once again. Robi luxury creates a beautiful selection of products for everyone. The carefully chosen ingredients come packaged in adorable glass jars and bottles that can be reused. An emphasis on quality over quantity, Robi offers a line of luxurious face care and luxurious body butters. Free of preservatives, water and fillers, their products are 100% natural and made with beneficial ingredients formulated to accomodate your skin’s needs.

This time around, I had the sheer pleasure of reviewing some new products to the collection, and share my thoughts with you.

Face Scrub $16

I’m usually not a fan of powdered face scrubs, but I’ve slowly come to appreciate them. There are so many brands now offering this customizable option. Robi face scrub comes in a dry powder formula that you can mix with water or add your own ingredients {honey, yogurt, witch hazel and/or oil to name a few} for a more personalized skin treatment. I opt to add honey or Robi’s own hydrating serum for a more soothing/calming experience.

A blend of Chamomile, Cucumber and Rhassoul, this super-gentle scrub exfoliates, while sloughing away dead skin and impurities. High in vitamins, minerals and enzymes, it helps soothe and repair the skin. If you’re sensitive to aggressive face scrubs, this one is a must-try!

Kaolin, Moroccan Lava Clay, Pumice, Matricaria Recutita (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Peel Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil (and) Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil

Hydrating Serum $25

Fall weather is approaching us, and what better way than to add a hydrating serum to your skincare routine. I’m all about the  glowy/dewy skin trend, and this one from Robi is amazing at giving your skin that luminous sheen. Enriched with ingredients of Argan and Jojoba, the hydrating serum softens wrinkles and fine lines, while Vitamin E is added for extra skin protection. Subtle hints of lavender and benzoin { an essential oil reminiscent of vanilla} calm and soothe skin. I prefer to warm up a few drops into my palms and press into the skin. This helps with better absorption of product and preps it for the next step.

Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Tocopherol, Styrax Benzoin Resin Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil

Glow Face and Body Serum $30

If you love a gleaming glow to your skin, you will really want to get your hands on this light bronzing serum. An un-scented treatment that can be applied to your hair, face and body to add a subtle sheen and luminescent glow. It’s non-comedogenic and works for most skin types. If you’re really oily, I would opt out of this one. I love to add a few drops to my body moisturizer for the perfect glow and a hint to my cheekbones for a bronzy effect. FYI: This product can stain, so I wouldn’t wear that cute LWD. Overall, it’s a fab product!

Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Tocopherol, Mica, Iron Oxides
