Five Fall Makeup Trends You Need To Try!

Fall is just around the corner and 2016 has some of the hottest trends in beauty. From graphic lids to red lips. This Autumn features trendsetting looks that you can recreate at home with just a few must-have products. Here are my 5 top Fall /16 favourite looks that are a total DIY.

Chanel

BLACKOUT

Black liner is making its way back into our makeup bags for Fall/Winter. You can’t go wrong with a classic sultry eye. I love a winged liner with a bold lip or a smokey eye with a nude lip. Any way you prefer, bold, defined eyes are all the rage. There are so many options when choosing the right product. Gel, pencil, eyeshadow, liquid, these all are great choices in creating your personalized look. For daytime I suggest a soft and sultry finish to the eye. Use e.l.f. Studio Eyeliner & Shadow Stick to line and or smudge into lash line. For evening, try Stila Smudge Pot for a sexy mysterious look. Love the perfect cat eye? I suggest Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner for a defined and stay-put finish.

Valentino

GLOWING SKIN

I love the look of luminous skin. The way it radiates in natural light is so ethereal. A gorgeous trend that’s been making its way all over the runways and is here to stay. To create an “I just got a facial” glow, I suggest Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream. To highlight or strobe for a more pronounced effect, try Stila Set & Illuminate Baked Powder Trio for a more pronounced glow. Apply to cheekbones, browbone, bridge of nose, chin and cupid’s bow for a full on dewy look.

THE NATURAL BROW

Natural and muted brows are seen on the runway this season. Many models are strutting bleached brows almost appearing like they have been shaved off. This fall, put away the stencils and just give your arches a quick sweep of tinted brow gel for a touch of fullness and definition. I like to use Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel #3. To fill in sparse areas, try Revlon Brow Fantasy or Diorshow Brow Styler 001.

Rodarte

BOLD LIPS

Fall is all about the bold lip and it’s been seen in almost every fashion show. Creating a vamp lip doesn’t take much skill, just a few products for the perfect feather-proof  lip. Priming lips first is a must. Use NYX Lip Primer to create the perfect canvas and prevent colour from bleeding. There are many formulas to choose from, so pick a shade that you’re comfortable in. For a classic deep lip, I suggest Ilia Lip Crayon Pencil in 99 red balloons or Kosås Cosmetics Lipstick in Darkroom. If you have a current shade you absolutely can’t live without but the formula doesn’t last quite as long, apply a matte top coat for the lips. I love Cargo Cosmetics Matte Top Coat.

Balmain

MONOCHROMATIC NUDES

This A/W season be prepared to bare it all.  Monochromatic nude makeup is another must-try look this Fall ’16 season. Natural pinks, nudes, and beiges that compliment your skin tone are in. One shade in the same undertones are swept across the eyes, cheeks and lips making this look simple to do and very versatile. Choose textures with a slight shimmer as mattes can be quite tricky when too neutral. I love Cargo Cosmetics Color Stick in St.Tropez, Maui and Champagne.

Love any of these fall trends?  Which one is your favourite?

Cheers,
