Kjaer Weis foundation Review

Happy Wednesday lovelies!

I wanted to share with you my latest luxury ✨ purchase from green beauty brand- Kjaer Weis. You’ve probably not heard about this niche brand unless you follow many popular green bloggers on Instagram (or your a self-proclaimed green beauty junkie), as the positive reviews about this product are endless!!

Kjaer Weis is an innovative makeup brand developed by Danish born Kirsten Kjaer Weis, a makeup artist based in New York. Kirsten wanted to develop chemical-free laden products that would be less irritating to her clients. Many complaints were that chemical induced makeup were causing reactions and allergies. Kirsten began her 8 year journey to develop Kjaer Weis. She shared her thoughts on the brand, so here’s the drive behind it.

Kjaer Weis: to fulfill a desire and demand for high-performance color cosmetics that were made with the highest quality natural and organic ingredients, all without compromising luxury or contemporary design.

I think that was really well said, Don’t you think? Being a makeup artist myself, I really love supporting other artists in the industry that have developed cleaner makeup brands, as they truly know what would be beneficial for their customers. Many toxic makeup company bigwigs that come up with product ideas, know nothing about the cosmetic industry. Green beauty brands have come along way and my love and passion for them is the only way to teach readers like you to try and make the cleaner switch. Green can be glamorous ✨

I wanted to splurge on this foundation…which btw is $93 can🙊 but so worth it, and test out what’s so fabulous about. Keep reading as I share my thoughts.

“Ultimately what I wanted to achieve was an alternative that fused beautiful color, texture and design with organic non-harmful formulas. I think it’s the way forward.” -Kjaer Weis

Let me start with the packaging, gorgeous!!! This made in Italy product comes in a sophisticated mirrored metal compact, that slides open and holds your refillable foundation. White embossed detailing with the initials “KW” and engraved with the brand name “Kjaer Weis.” * Refills are $57 can.

The foundation

What I love about this foundation is its agriculturally derived ingredients, 95% comes from organic farming. Certified organic ingredients of sweet almond oilmoisturize and promote elasticity, coconut oil- a natural moisturizer for the skin and jojoba oilsrich in fatty acids, which promote skin elasticity and reduce signs of aging. What more can you ask for in such a well formulated foundation?

It’s gluten-free and semi-matte texture conceal all imperfections, and doesn’t look cakey, just looks like your own bare skin. I purchased shade -just sheer, which is perfect for fair to medium-fair with olive undertones. Kjaer Weis cream foundation comes in 9 shades to suit all skin tones. Many might find it can enhance your dry areas on the skin, but if you prep accordingly to your skin type, you shouldn’t have any issues.

My thoughts!

Love, love this foundation!! It lasted all day and my skin looked very natural and flawless. I just needed a touch up or two if I was running around and perspiring. My skin type being combination, if you want to know, did not feel dry with this foundation on. I wouldn’t really use it under the eyes, as it can crease because of the natural oils in it.

Overall, this luxury purchase was definitely worth it! I would recommend this foundation to anyone! Have you tried this foundation? What are your thoughts? Leave your comments below.
